Nigerian youth rights leader and two others abducted by DSS police – demand their immediate release!

Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM) statement

Adaramoye Michael (‘Michael Lenin’), National Coordinator of Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) and National Mobilisation Officer of Education Rights Campaign (ERC) has been abducted by the Nigerian state forces, the Department of State Services (DSS), in Abuja around 2am (Nigerian time) 5 August.

Michael Lenin, also a member of the Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM – Nigerian section of the CWI), is one of the organisers of #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria nationwide protest in Abuja.

Alongside Micheal another DSM member, Babatunde Oluajo, was detained as was his relative Mosiu Sodiq who happened to be in the apartment when it was raided.

All three are being held by the DSS, the renamed Secret Security Service,  in Abuja,.

We demand their immediate and unconditional release along with any other detained activists.

Should anything happen to them, @officialasiwajubat, @officialdssng and others must be held accountable.
